PART THREE: CHARACTER PERSONALITY

List Three Flaws: He’s egotisical, self loathing, can come off cold at times
List Three Strengths: He’s noble, in his own right, Good natured, in his own way, smart
How do these effect everyday life: Well of course we all know that Alan is effected by pretty much everything that’s happens to him daily. Of his flaws, his ability to remain alone while in a relationship is pivitol because he essentially thinks that he will be without the tenderness of an intimate relationship with a woman for the rest of his life. My feeling is that its because he feels undeserving of it, because he holds women to a higher standard than what he’s able to provide them with. He can’t hold a steady relationship no matter how hard he tries. He’s seen a few pass right through his fingers. He clings to those past failures and finds it hard to let them go in new endevours in love.

On the same note he’s a damned fine Professor and will fight tooth and nail for a cause he believes in. He will do whatever he can to win, depending the cause is one that he can be convinced to believe in.

Describe your characters general personality:

Sharp witted and self loathing at the same time. He's calculating and cold at times, and warm and sophistocated at other times. He's a varitable cornicopia of emotions, and you never know which Alan you're going to see.

PART FIVE: RP SAMPLE

From Boston General:

Watching her pull away was breaking him inside. He watched her with concern when she handed him the packet. He opened the envelope and found the Divorce documents. It was her salvation. He knew that in order for her to continue normally she would have to be severed from him and connections to this place. But as he slid the documents back inside the envelope he felt a need to leave this on his terms this time.

He walked over to her, standing just behind her. He knew his time was short, and as such he acted quickly, while he still had the nerve. He pulled her into his arms after spinning her around and he held her for a moment. Then for one last moment he kissed her. Even his own fingers shook as he gently pushed her hair from her face.

Alan released her then and put on a brave face. "That was something to remember me by..." He uttered softly trying to give her a smile as he put the documents into his inside jacket pocket. He, in that moment, remembered everything about her in their entire time together. The way she smelled, the way her lips tasted, the way she shivered when emotions were high, it all came back to him.

When he turned away from her his own emotions got the best of him as his own eyes tried to well with tears. He dammed them with a blink. "Good bye Shona..." He said, trying to keep his eyes away from her. And with a final sentence he severed it, "Its funny...how until now I couldn't tell you this..." he gave a soft and slightly forced chuckle. "I love you..." And with that he started away. Away from her, away from the smell of her hair, the way she moved when he touched her, the way she felt in his arms. He left her behind him, where as before she left him behind her.

He didn't feel like he would ever be the same then, he was affected, changed and even now...different than he was a year ago. He did not look back as he left. He couldn't. Somehow he made it to his car and after he'd gotten inside, he rested his head back on the seat. He sighed deeply, trying to blink away the shreds of sadness that had welled in his eyes. He sat there for a moment in silence before starting the car, the roar of the 8 cyclinder engine shattering the silent tomb of sadness he'd encased himself in.

"Turn left..." The GPS sounded. "Turn Left..."

Alan's eyes slid down to the floor where the device landed when he'd knocked it from the dash. Slowly he reached for the window switch and lowered the power window. With a small grunt he threw it out the pasanger window, hearing it shatter a short distance away. "I hate him for this..." He said to himself as he put the car in reverse and backed out and away from Shona's apartment, leaving her behind...
